Zoralee meets Alistair

Alistair and Zoralee were born about three and a half weeks apart (Z is older) and share an uncle and aunt, my brother and his wife. We figure they're shirt-tail cousins of sorts. Alistair and his mom, Jen, were here visiting over the weekend. As you can see from the first pics and video, A and Z didn't get off to a great start. However, by their second meeting, they were buddies.

a couple days later...

Oh shoot! Cam and I really wanted to see the rest of the video! Did Zor retaliate after Alistair smacked her? Too cute!

What's the funniest is Zor's expressions. She seems to be looking at him and thinking, "Someone please tell me that I don't look so silly when I am crying, because if so, I shan't cry ever again. What a baby." They are both so stinking adorable. I just loved loved loved how she is "older" and appeared to be so wise, sitting there befuddled by his crying.

Poor Alistair. I assume you shut off the camera so that you could soothe him, yes?

Well, my soothing efforts weren't helping dear Alistair. I had hoped he would snap out of it for the video, but he didn't until mama returned a minute later. Poor little tyke. And yeah, I turned off the video and intervened when I saw that A planned to squarsh Z. She started crying then, which you can see by the other photo.

Okay. I watch this video several times a day. Still.

I just can't get over it. I think that Zoralee's faces in it are PRICELESS. You can see her realizing all these things and actually responding like a little human to something going on around her. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Plus, Ali's cry is so cute and funny and your little comments are funny. And it's funny how you just let him sit there and cry... until he starts to bonk Zor. I love the whole thing. I really do watch it daily. It's that good.
