Oh, you know what I just thought of? Mother Teresa (because of the title of this post). Here's some things she apparently said.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

I love that Mother Teresa quote, Tamie! I've got the whole line up in a book, and yes, it really resonates with me. So much of what we do sometimes apparently has no bearing on the world, but there is a beauty in the very act of doing. We, at least, are shaped.
